About Fine Art Artist Marissa Quinn

About Me

Marissa Quinn is a full time artist in Encinitas, California where she grew up in connection with the sea and marine cycles.

Quinn obtained both her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art (BFA) and her Master’s Degree in Fine Art (MFA) from Azusa Pacific University, where she concentrated her studies on researching, painting, and drawing extinct and/or endangered flora and fauna.

My Influences

During her MFA research, Quinn communicated with environmental and ecological researchers from across the country, which ultimately exposed her to living a conservation lifestyle. Her work and studies inspired her back to the sea where she now illustrates stories of marine growth and degradation while setting an eco-conscious example to her sea-side hometown. In addition to creating her fine art, Quinn enjoys collaborating with oceanic conservation groups including Lonely Whale, Surfrider Foundation, Keiko Conservation, and Changing Tides Foundation.

Find My Work

Her work is currently in several galleries and locally curated spaces between San Diego and Los Angeles including Sparks Gallery, Copa Vida, and Flower Pepper Gallery, with murals located in Michigan, Maryland, Ohio, and San Diego.
